  If you’ve been browsing homes online, you’ve probably noticed that some properties sell quickly while others seem to sit on the market a little longer. Most buyers immediately gravitate toward new listings. They’re fresh, they’re getting attention, and they often create a sense of urgency. But what many people overlook are what I like to call the “have-beens” — homes that have been on the market for a bit. Here’s the thing: a higher number of days on market does not automatically mean there’s something wrong with the property. There are several reasons a home may not have sold right away.
